Re: Quote of the Day

The main emphasis of the KGB is not in the area of intelligence at all. Only about 15% of time, money and manpower is spent on espionage and such. The other 85% is a slow process which we call either ideological subversion or active measures,…or psychological warfare

Re: September 11

Seventeen years later. It pains me to think about what I read recently. It has been estimated that the number of 9/11 fatalities due to the ingestion and / or inhalation of the toxic dusts by those who survived the collapses in NYC, and by those who rushed to NYC to assist in the national emergency ...

Re: Hoax or Jihad?

Well the obvious answer if this is not a hoax is to get Rheal Mathieu all fired up again if he is still not duct taped to a chair with a CSIS minder 24/7.

Re: USMCA and how it might affect attitudes in the long term

I suspect that as in all the previous treaties, reciprocity will last as long as it works for the majority stakeholder. Pretty echoey in here these days lol.

Re: Movie Scene of the Day

Apparently the date is all wrong. Supposedly released circa 1967. The 'summer of love'. A quickening of sorts? Meanwhile all the excesses of the gulags were in full swing. Ironic.

Re: September 11

The subject of the attacks is difficult to revisit even for someone like myself who was not in any way affected by the attacks directly. I recently made the mistake of watching some of the old archival footage again, & this was not even the most controversial stuff.

Re: Residue of War (WWI) traces of defensive positions adjac

Sorry for the flooding. Android editing problems. Pics of these earthworks are rarer than hog's teeth. I would imagine they would have been cleared of lumber across a wide area. Otherwise there would be no point to it. As to what it might have looked like, I took a tour of the Otter Lake landfill a ...
