As much as it seems like a joke, sadly nearly 97% of climate "scientists" appear to be complicit in the scheme attributed to Gore. Now that the real numbers are starting to roll in, lets take a closer look at what "consensus" really means...

An insightful application of geostatistics in the context of average human specifications:

Why do people choose to be so childish, evil and cowardly about their human relationships? Because Humanism.

My guess on this one is:
the purpose of the layout of an ancient structure as intended by the original builders, in accordance with the extrapolated interpretation of multiple ancient-astronaut theories. (possibly an "inside joke" for Ancient-Astronaut theorists presenting multiple purposes within the same graphic from competing camps and sub-theories.) ?

Probably. Another guess is that it represents a model of reality in alignment with post Newtonian physics from the understanding of a lay person?

It's a different take on Plato's Allegory of the Cave, perhaps?
"The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those who speak it."

Two thirds of all refugees since the begining of all tracking arrived in Canada through Quebec, yet we are less than 20% of the population. Montreal never really ceased to be the actual capital of Canada, the geostrategic localization is simply conducive to that state of things.

Welllll throughout history Capital cities have often moved for strategic reasons. Precisely to protect the executives from the bustle and instability of markets and people. I was about to agree with you but no, Ottawa is the capital :P

My use of the word capital is definitely not ideal, a substitute would probably do a better job at conveying the idea more accurately. Montreal is the city with the most international institutions in the whole world, so our connectedness extends beyond simply Canada or even North America.. yet there is no lack of negatives to go around lol

Toronto = Economic capital
Ottawa = Political Capital
Vancouver = Real Estate Capital

Everything is the capital of something if we dig enough lol

Am I reading this right?? Poverty in 2015 is less than 30% of what it was 1990? If so, why is Oxfam is "warning" us about Neo-liberalism? And why am I typing so many sentences that end with a question mark? Could it be because my computer is missing its interrobang key!?

Actually, what Bearsy found is a sad case of what I'd call "statistical quackery" so I want to thank him for his valuable service to this forum and to humanity in general. SQ is a scourge; it is one of the many ways that charlatans, con men, conspiracy theorists, and politicians pull the cashmere over our eyes with the "alternative facts". Here is an infamous example of SQ from about 5 years ago:

No, you are simply not reading it right. World Bank produces those numbers by pretending inflation doesn't exist. "Extreme Poverty" in 1990 was defined as living on less than $1.90 per day. In 2008, for example, that number had inflated to less than $10.00 per day, but World Bank still uses the 1990 metrics based on was when they set their goals of reducing poverty.

In 2008 there were 5.15 billion people living in"extreme povert" representing about 80% of the total population (and about the total number of people than existed around 1990......

There us SOoooo much wrong with World Banks numbers its not even worth wasting your breath arguing with them.
