I usually like to make fun of this body-style for cars... looks like the the love-child of a station-wagon and an SUV, with a dash of VW bug. But with much of the advancements in computer-assisted controls of autos, this sort of becomes the default shape cars take for optimal balance of performance, efficiency, and safety on the existing road-network in North America.

Yeah it's a modern take on the station-wagon. Differentiated by merge of Sedan and Suv rather than simply long hatchback of elder days, as well as by all wheel drive capabilities that can actually take it offroad with decent prospects. I've seen the Venza referred to as "an empty-nester urban station wagon" which is kind of accurate. If you want a truly ugly car of the same category, look no further than the unseamly accord crosstour, which from many angles looks seriously awkward.

Saw one of these the other day. Montego station wagon. Looked like it lived in a barn for a while. Grand old boat.

The Dead South - In Hell, I'll Be in Good Company

Iron Horse - Rocket Man

I always thought that "Rocket Man" might be better as a bluegrass song. Maybe it was the weed I was smoking. The same thing with the following song.
